What to Expect from Reverse Osmosis Water Filters

Reverse osmosis water filters use a technology much different than the other water filter systems in the market.

Their common use has been in the industry mainly in the printing industry because of the fact that they remove minerals from the water thus making the water fit for film making.

The reverse osmosis technology is good for filtering water for purposes other than drinking. The technology is not fit for drinking water purification.

The problem is that reverse osmosis water filters remove minerals from the water and it is not a hidden secret now that some minerals are highly important for human bodies.

These minerals also keep the water fresh. This is more evident from the fact that all the natural water sources like mountain lakes and water falls that are a result of melting ice on the mountain tops, away from the civilization, are full of essential minerals like potassium, sodium and calcium, that we need.

Drinking such water is so refreshing. So when the essential minerals are removed from reverse osmosis treated water, the water becomes unhealthy. 

Reverse osmosis water filter does not also remove chlorine from the water because of a flaw in reverse osmosis process that does not block lighter than water elements.

Chlorine is lighter than water but also corrupts the whole taste of the water. There are few other elements in the water that are not blocked by reverse osmosis process because they are lighter than the water.

So, do not use the reverse osmosis water filter system for domestic purposes as you will not get the pure water that you expect.

The technology used by these filters is quite old but some money minded companies are promoting these filters as the water filter system available today. Do not fall into their trap and choose any other water filter system for your use but reverse osmosis water filters.
